NY Finest vs. St. Paul Finest
June 2009- New York's Finest Baseball Club (20-10-1) Traveled to the twin cities to take on ST. Paul Police Department. The first game was held at Hubert H Humphrey Metrodome which is home of the Minnesota Twins. Kevin Gieras lit up the radar gun at 92 mph, Pedro Pena Homered to leftfield, Dave Mischo and Eric Sorensen picked up RBI doubles, and Steve Phelan Walked away with the win. NY Finest was victorious 7-3. Game # 2 matched the two same teams at the Saint Thomas University. Dan Dechirico remains undefeated (5-0) going 6 strong innings for the win, and Joe Ayala Finished up the last three to collect his first career save. The offense was led by Ruben Cardona who collected 2 hits and Dave Rodriguez had a pair of RBI's. NY Finest won 8-2. The Final game took place at Minnetonka High school. On a new 3.5 million Dollar Complex NY Finest was looking for gold as the took on the Minneapolis Blue sox. Jose "Dirty" Sanchez went 6 innings and lived up to his nickname as he held the Blue sox bats to one run gathering the win. Dave Mischo Closed out the trip with his 4th save of the year. NY Finest won 5-4 and returned home undefeated.
