Saturday, May 28 at 9:00am - May 30 at 12:00pm Philadelphia/ Holy Ghost Prepatory School Created ByMore Info2439 Bristol pike Bensalem, PA Dear Congress Members, The Philadelphia BlueSox baseball team will be hosting out 1st tournament this memorial day weekend, and we are inviting 7 congress teams to attend entry cost will be $450 ($150 deposit due by may 1st), includes Umpires fees, field cost and balls and trophies for 1stb and 2nd place winners.. The tournament will take place May 27th 2011- May 30th 2011, This will be an eight team tournament with two brackets consisting of four teams each (we will spit them up police/fire best we can) All teams will be guaranteed 3 games in pool play format. All game s will be 7 innings or 2.5 hours time limit which ever comes first. All games must go 5 innings to be official. Games can end in tie except for playoffs. Tie breakers: head to head, runs for runs allowed.. Your team will play each team in your Bracket once with the top two teams in each bracket moving onto the playoffs and championship. all games will be supplied balls, umpires and score book, and seeds gum and water in each dug out. Hotel Hampton Inn 1329 Bristol Pike Bensalem Pa 215-245-5222 ask for lisa lento $95 per room per night. must reserve by 4/27/11 for rates 1.2 mile from main field breakfast included pool- whirlpool fitness center with in mile from local malls and great places to eat.( we will have list upon arrival) Saturday night after party minutes from hotel with great food & drink specials for Congress members and police and fire ID shown. Great family attractions and night life in city and surrounding areas Teams encouraged to bring their teams shirts and apparel to sell and swap, we will have tournament shirts and BlueSox apparel for sale at games along with concessions during all games... FIEldS RULES NO ALCOHOL OR SMOKING ON PREMISE, NO CHEW IN DUGOUTS.. sorry but tourney will be played on private school grounds and we must play by their rules...
