The Arlington Watchmen Baseball Club, the official baseball team of the Arlington (TX) Police Department, provides a competitive outlet for department personnel as well as an enjoyable and rewarding means to help raise funds for deserving non-profit organizations. The mission of the department’s baseball team is to serve as goodwill ambassadors while representing the City of Arlington and the Arlington Police Department. Over the past three years, the Watchmen have participated in various baseball games and tournaments to raise funds for organizations such as the Guns and Hoses Foundation of North Texas and the Arlington Police Foundation. These organizations provide financial assistance to families of fallen firefighters and police officers as well as fund community programs and essential public safety equipment not funded through city budgets. The Watchmen have participated in several local tournaments and hope to raise enough money in the future to consider play at a national level. Visit their website |
