Columbus Police Department Bulldogs

cpd

The Columbus Police baseball team was formed in 2004 by team Captain Scott Polgar. Scott wanted a baseball team to compliment the existing Football, softball and hockey teams for CPD. A team was formed and the mascot of the Bulldog was adopted. The CPD Bulldogs struggled in year one with a 9-12 record. The Bulldogs regrouped and played better in their 2nd season with an overall record of 14-10. The team was proud to host the 1st Annual Central Ohio Public Safety tournament which was a great success. Teams including NYPD, FDNY, Chicago PD Finest, Chicago PD Knights, Chicago FD and Columbus PD and Columbus FD got together to play at the AAA home of the New York Yankees. The interest in the team is at an all time high and CPD Baseball is marching into its third season looking for many years of playing the game we love against other Officers and Firefighters.

The Columbus PD & Columbus FD Teams have begun working on the 2nd Annual Public Safety Tournament in Columbus Ohio. The  dates for the event are Wednesday September 19- Friday September 21.
