Family Day 2009

On Sunday July 19, 2009 New York's Finest Baseball  hosted their First Annual Family Day at Floyd Bennett Field in Brooklyn. The day was full of events. Young and old were able to see a trained NYPD Police Dog from the K-9 Unit, A Horse from the Mounted unit, An Emergency Service Vehicle from ESU, An NYPD Highway Motorcycle, and a great opening ceremony and beautiful singing of the National Anthem by the NYPD Ceremonial unit that was topped off with a Fly over by the NYPD Aviation Unit. There was a huge inflatable slide for the kids that was a big hit. This was all before a great game between NY Finest and the NY State Troopers. Municipal Credit Union and Aflac were on hand raffling of nice prizes. MCU had donated a new flagpole to the newly renamed Freedom Field that will be up later this week an Aflac has donated new Bleachers to New York's Finest Baseball Club. NY Finest Baseball Club Raffled off  NY Yankee Stars Hideki Matsui and Nick Swisher Autographed Balls, A NY Finest Team Jacket, and NY Finest Team Autographed Baseball Bat. With a great turnout of Family and Friends, NY York's Finest Baseball would like to Thank all who attended and made this possible. During the food and fun, NY Finest defeated the NY State Troopers 15-14.
