| | National Police & Fire Baseball Congress United States Military All-Stars | SAN DIEGO, CA (24 Jan 07) - For the past 17 seasons the U.S. Military All-Stars have worked hard to find the most talented military players on earth. As we watched the new hopefuls demonstrate their skills last week in Hawaii and Camp Pendleton one thing was apparent. This is a very competitive team. Since it's beginning in 1990 the program has had over 21,000 players participate. Fresh off the huge success of their historic annual "Red, White and Blue Tour of America," last summer, the U.S. Military All-Stars, like our armed forces have gone "Joint" and the reason is simple. The team will is that much better with a full representation of players from all services. More importantly, the number of talented players available for the 18th tour is expected to be down as a direct result of the Global War on Terrorism. It's ironic that the availability of skilled players will suffer on the field this summer as a direct result of the purpose of the tour which is, to in fact raise the awareness of Americans in support the brave men and women fighting overseas. | | | | Link to US Military All Stars Website The US Military All-Stars will Stop of in New York For Fleet Week 2007 during their Red, White & Blue Tour.
