Organized in the late '90s under the direction of Dan Sheehan, Chicago's Bravest baseball club is made up of 25 Chicago Firefighters and Paramedics from various firehouses across the city. Whether they're Sox fans or Cubs fans, there's one thing for certain in this City; camaraderie. From the firehouse to the field, Chicago's Bravest players come together with only two goals; to play ball and protect the city. America's favorite pastime is a sport we all love and enjoy. Chicago's Bravest has played Police and Fire Departments from New York and Columbus. 2006 was the first year Chicago's Bravest went on the road.

Chicago's Bravest starts its baseball season in late April and plays a 17 week, 24 game schedule. Not only has Chicago's Bravest played various men's baseball teams across the City, the team has also competed against several different Police and Fire department teams across the nation!

In addition to various charity games and tournaments played during the season, a Public Safety Championship is determined by a playoff tournament in September. Two thousand six was the first season Team Manager, Dan Sheahan, took the team on the road to Columbus, Ohio and participated in this tournament. The 2006 Public Safety Championship Tournament was well received and we remain forever gracious to the Police and Fire departments of Columbus.

Follow the Chicago Fire Department's baseball team as they play against other Police and Fire Department teams. Also as they try to win the Roy Hobbs 28+ baseball league.
