FDNY BRAVEST BASEBALL 2007

The Bravest Baseball club looks forward to another successful season in '07. Although last season had it's ups and downs the team finished with an overall record of 24-12 and were tournament champs at the Columbus Ohio Police/Fire baseball tournament held at Cooper Stadium home of the Columbus Clippers. We look forward again to playing the NYPD at Keyspan Park in Coney Island in which this will be our sixth meeting at the home of the Cyclones. There are plans in the works to play the San Quentin Giants at the San Quentin state prison in Northern California where the game may be featured on HBO Real Sports as a follow up to an original story that was posted a year ago about the prison's in house baseball team. There are also plans for a meeting with the US Military All-Stars as they will make a stop to play us and the NYPD as they travel the country.

The team will most likely be returning to the Triborough Baseball League where most of the games will be played at Taft High School in the Bronx. This is a wood bat weeknight league with about a 30 game schedule that runs from late April into late September. Anyone interested in trying out for the team may contact Scott Miller at scott@nyfiredup.com
