• Fernando played High School Baseball at Forest Hills High for all 4 years were he was the captain his senior year as the team made it to the semi-finals. In college Fernando was a part of the only team in John Jay College history to earn a NCAA bid capturing the CUNY And Knickerbocker Titles at Yankee and Shea Stadiums.

NY Finest Career Highlights Fernando Pitched a Perfect Game on August 17, 2003 vs. the New York Phillies of the QMBL. The Perfect Game was the first in New York's Finest Baseball Team history. Won a NY Finest record 13 games in 2006, going 13-2 with a 2.66 ERA for the season. 2006 NY Finest Pitcher of the Year
