Spring Training 2010 in Las Angeles, Ca

April 11, 2010- New York's Finest Baseball Club Returned home from Los Angeles, taking three of the four games from the LAPD Centurions. The Finest went out west for the week to prepare for the 2010 season and to compete with one of the top teams in law enforcement. New York's Finest played solid defense, had great pitching and timely hitting for the first three games. Game four fatigue set in and the Finest failed to execute. "Overall the Team played well, everyone got their work in to prepare for the 2010 Season" Says Team Captain Ruben Cardona. NY Finest wants to thank The LAPD Centurions for their gracious hospitality and is looking forward to the next time the two teams meet.

April 7- NYPD 6 LAPD 3-  Dan Dechirico pitches a complete game in his first outing. Dechirico scattered 6 singles, while allowing 2 earned runs in 9 innings of work.

April 8- NYPD 7 LAPD - Steve Phelan only allows 3 hits in 6 innings of work for his first win of the year. The Finest provided an ample amount of runs and was led by Ruben Cardona. Cardona went 3-4 with a double and two triples.

April 8 (Game #2)- NYPD 4 LAPD 2- Kevin Gieras throws 5 shutout innings allowing only 2 hits. Rookie Hipolito Gil closes out the game in his first appearance with the Team. Dennis O'Sullivan goes 2-2 with a HBP and scored 3 times for the Finest.

April 9- LAPD 13 NYPD 6- The Finest just didn't have it today. The Centurions pounded out 13 runs on 19 hits to punish Finest pitching.
